Devo Performs at NPR’s Tiny Desk Concert: Watch Now!

Fans of the iconic band Devo are in for a treat! The band recently graced the stage of NPR’s Tiny Desk Concert, delivering a playful and nostalgic performance that you can watch right here. In true Devo fashion, frontman Mark Mothersbaugh brought his signature quirkiness, rummaging through NPR’s closet full of stage props and costumes. Hats, wigs, and even a rubber chicken were part of the antics!

Watch Devo’s Tiny Desk Performance Below:

Highlights of the Set:

  • Devo opened with “It Takes a Worried Man”, a song they originally recorded for the cult 1982 film Human Highway.
  • They revived “Blockhead” (1979) and “Come Back Jonee” from their groundbreaking 1978 debut album Q: Are We Not Men? A: We Are Devo!.
  • At 74, Mothersbaugh proved he hasn’t lost his touch. During “Praying Hands,” he even ventured into the audience with a megaphone, keeping things interactive and lighthearted.

The performance comes on the heels of their latest release, 50 Years of De-Evolution (1973-2023), a box set that celebrates the band’s five decades of groundbreaking music and visual art. Devo has been a staple in the music industry for years, continually surprising fans with their unique style.

Don’t miss out on this Devo Tiny Desk Concert — it’s a must-watch for both longtime fans and those new to the band’s de-evolutionary philosophy!
